An Unexpected Surprise!
“Pleaseeeee!” I begged my parents. “No. We don”t think you are ready for the responsibility of your own dog.” my parents scowled. I was so angry and disappointed at the same time. I really wanted that cute little boston terrier, but apparently that wasn’t going to happen any time soon. Everyday for years it felt like I pleaded and pleaded but I still got the same reply I didn’t want which was no. I bet you’ve all felt how I did, heartbroken. I went into my bedroom and thought of what it would be like to have the puppy.
A few weeks later I was relaxing in a comfortable chair watching t.v. when I heard a whimper. I scampered into the hallway to see what the strange noise was. The weird noise was made again and it was coming from my bedroom!! I gulped and ever so slowly opened the door. There it was sitting on my neatly made bed. It was a whiny, teeny tiny, baby boston terrier. The excitement was rushing through me. The black and white puppy was jumping up and down, and so was I! I darted to my bed as fast as fast as a lightning bolt. I picked her up and held her in my arms. I decided her name, Ella. My parents strolled in grinning ear to ear when they saw me clutching her in my shaking arms.“Thank You! Thank You!” I told them. “Your welcome.” They replied. I announced to my parents what the puppy’s name was. They said it was a wonderful name.
Later, after all of the commotion, I fed ella her puppy food. Then I dragged her around the neighborhood for a jog. When we arrived home we were both panting.
This day was absolutely perfect! I had never been so surprised in my whole life. I wish everyday could be like this one. I thought to myself, “Good things come to those who wait.”
